Osamede Okhomina has a BA and MA in Philosophy from Cambridge University. . Mr Okhomina also worked for Terra Energy Service and assisted them in the introduction of new deepwater technology developed in Norway into the Nigerian market. He has written extensively on the Niger Delta problem in Nigeria and acts as an informal adviser to several Nigerian Ministers, Senators and Senior Technocrats. Mr Okhomina was instrumental in originating, structuring and eventually settling the 15 year legal battle between Shell and the Wiwa Plaintiffs in the New York District Court. Mr Okhomina has also been a Senior Advisor to the Nigerian government's telecommunications regulator where he played a leading role in the de-regulation of the sector from being dominated by an inefficient near Monopoly Operator, NITEL, to one of the country's most profitable business sectors. He is a founding partner of EER.
