Olav Eimstad holds an MSc in Physics from the Technical University of Norway. He was one of the founders of GECO (now WesternGeco) in 1972, and became President of GECO US in 1981. He joined TGS (now TGS-Nopec) in 1987 as President of International Operations. In 1992 he founded Stratum Petroleum Services out of Houston, Texas, and built a successful exploration services company with a focus on West Africa. He became a founding partner and CEO of EER in 2003.
