Anand Rao holds a BA and MA in theoretical physics from Cambridge University and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London. He joined Amerada Hess in 1995, and carried out life-cycle development planning on North Sea assets in the UK and Denmark. In 2001, he moved to Jakarta to work on offshore Indonesia carbonates gas fields. Prior to joining EER in 2007, Anand worked for three years as an independent reservoir engineering consultant, advising leading multi-nationals in Africa and the Middle East.
